A Life of Grace

Do you know what grace is?

Grace is a word that has become so common in many circles that people take it for granted. Many have made it such a part of their Christian vocabulary that they seldom stop to think about how awesome grace really is and what a difference it has made in their lives.

The theologians define it as the unmerited favor of God. But really, it is a free gift. An undeserved handout. God chose to give you light so you can get out of the dark. He chose to cure your blindness and give you sight. He GAVE you LIFE. Eternal life, fulfilling life close to him. That is grace.

Dealing With Issues In Our Walk With God

When we get born again, we usually have some things that we still need to work on for our walk with God to be next to perfect. It can never be perfect for we are human beings. Only Grace makes us perfect. It does not matter how you were when you got saved. Maybe you have not been fully delivered from some issues.
As humans with God-given free will, we all struggle with two things: Being obedient and getting over certainty. We struggle with these things because God has given us that free will, the ability to choose for ourselves.

We all know being obedient is difficult. As a child, we struggle with obeying our parents when we want to pursue our own paths, desires, etc. Think back to the tug of war you may have had with Mom and Dad over which friends you wanted or how late you wanted to stay out after the Friday night high school football game. We are stubborn and headstrong and want to do things our own way. Our relationship with our heavenly Father isn't much different. Until you are completely willing to surrender and let go of your own selfish desires, you will be in a constant tug of war with what you want to do and what you know you should do(be obedient to God).

What Makes a MAN

God took, The strength of a mountain, The majesty of a tree, The warmth of a summer sun, The calm of a quite sea, The generous soul of nature, The comforting arm of night, The wisdom of the ages, The power of the eagle’s flight,  The joy of a morning in spring, The faith of the mustard seed, The patience of eternity, The depth of a family nee, Then GOD combined these qualities, When there was nothing more to add, He knew His masterpiece was complete, And so, He called it . . . MAN.

Grace Through Faith

It is critical to understand that we cannot save ourselves. The foundation of our faith is Jesus' death and resurrection. That's what paid the penalty to our sins. As a result of God's works in Jesus, we are a new people with a new heart and a new Lord.
