1. 1. INTRODUCTION
When one is in captivity, he is bound by chains and barriers under vigilant surveillance of the captors. This bondage is ensured to be strong so that in order to set the person free, stronger power is required. The bondage by evil powers is alike. Demons enter somebody and turn him into evil temple, complete with pillars, altar and everything required of a temple. These spirits will start to encourage evil things in the person like anger, evil desires, revenge, hatred etc. They will pull the person into doing what is opposite the will of God, turning him into an evil temple. Stronger spirits called gatekeepers will be vigilant at the gates to this person; gates to his/her spiritual land and will resist any attempt to bring this person to God. The strongman/gatekeeper will fight back hard not wanting to allow any conqueror to tumble their territory in the person. That is why Christ said: "Or else how can one enter into a strong man 's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man?" (Matt 12:29
).When Christ found money-changers in the temple of God he took a whip and chased them out. These changers were doing worldly business in the temple of God (Matt 21:12
), they were selling and buying instead of worshipping God. You must note that this was happening despite the High Priest being there, even scripture teachers were there seeing all these. Many churches today have turned into business enterprises, preaching gospel of prosperity in material wealth. In this case it took Christ to chase them out and overturn their tables. Similarly, the evil businesses encouraged by demons within a person can be stopped when the gate-keeper is bound and the strangers chased from within the person by the deliverance Power of Jesus. That is when one becomes the Temple of God and the Holy Spirit of God can dwell in him/her and start God's business in the person.1. 2. CLEANSING THE TEMPLE
"And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils," (Luke 8:2
); In this case, it is seen that in one person there were seven devils. Christians must know that each of these devils had specific assignment in the person. Each falls within specified department and are subject to stronger controlling evil spirit, the gatekeeper. Hear this: "And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many… And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them" (Mark 5:9,12 ). Notice that in this case one devil spoke to Jesus, this was the leader/commander of the legion or the gatekeeper. Always in deliverance session, the speaking demon would use the persons voice and say "this is our body , notice the word "our" meaning they are many and "body" meaning they use person as a dwelling place. A legion in early Roman Empire meant a completely organized group or body of foot of soldiers and cavalry consisting of different numbers at different periods, from about 4,000 to about 6,000 men. It is sad to note that upto that number of demons can be in one person.Deliverance of people in such a bondage requires faith in the Word of God and the Power of the Name of Jesus. It requires sanctification of the deliverance missionary, one has to be washed by the Blood of Jesus first before he leads another to be cleansed. Look at this instance: "Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth…And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded," (Acts 19:13,16
). Evil spirits are powerful but are only overcome by the Power in the Name of Jesus Christ. So, Cleansing of the Temple of God, our body, requires the Hand of God that is the Holy Spirit of God. Note the name, Holy Spirit, He is Holy so we also need to be Holy for him to dwell in us. The Holy Spirit comes into us after deliverance, and puts things in order, but if we cannot maintain holiness, He cannot dwell.2.1 BINDING THE GATEKEEPER
To conquer the territory created by the evil spirits in a person, the deliverance minister has to first bind the gatekeeper and tearing gates of the enemy in the Name of Jesus. I often do it as follows:
"He who has Key of David, what gate or door he opens, none shall close and what gate he closes none shall open. In the Name of Jesus and by the authority given to me by Jesus, I tear down your two leaved gates, I knock down your pillars, I smash down your walls. No stone shall stand upon another." (Rev 3
.7, Isa 22 .22, Ezekiel 21 .15-22, Isaiah 45 .1-2).After this binding, the deliverance minister will have to cut-off the supplies and reinforcement to the evil forces. This is called drying of waters of the enemy from which the evil forces draw their strength. Such drying of waters may go like this:
"In the Name of Jesus, I dry up your waters, your seas, your rivers, and your springs. I stand on the Word of God, and I cause a Drought over your land. Pass over to Chittim, you shall find no rest. There is no water, there is only Blood of Jesus. I make your habitation a desolate wilderness".

.38, Jer 51 .36, Isaiah 19 .52.2 BREAKING CORDS OF COMMUNICATION
Another important thing to do is to servere cords of communication of the evil spirits with other strongmen always called controlling spirits of locations. They are evil spirits assigned over places, over families and even over establishments like churches, cities and organizations. Each family or place has special evil spirits assigned to them. There are also spy spirits which monitor people and decide the most effective way of attacking them. They are co-ordinated through cords of communication and can provide reinforcement in case of attack .
The work of deliverance minister will be to de-program these co-ordinations and to break all cords of communication among the evil spirits within the person and between the spirits in the person(s) with other external controlling spirits. This method may be helpful:
" Listen to the Word of God, evil spirits Matt 16:19
Whatsoever I bind on earth shall be bound in Heaven and whatsoever I loose in earth shall be loosed in Heaven. I now bind the strongman of controlling spirits, gatekeepers and all the demons in the person(s) in Jesus Name. In the Name of Jesus, I cut off all cords between you and any other spirits"(Psalms 129.4).
Also, going by Job 41
and Isaiah 27:1 the evil spirits are cast out as follows:* · "It is written: the LORD with HIS Sore and Great and Strong SWORD shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent ; HE shall slay the dragon that is in the sea". (Isaiah 27:1
)"You spiritual taskmasters arresting the divine benefits of this person receive judgment of God in Jesus' Name
(As per Job 41
) You serpent out to destroy the life of this person, I put a hook in your nose, a cord around your tongue, and I bore a thorn in your jawand descend the Fire and Brimstone from the altar of God upon you and burn you to ashes in the Name of Jesus.O LORD rain down coals of fire and brimstone to destroy every element of evil in this person in the Name of Jesus.
2.3 OPENING CLOSED GATES, DOORS AND WINDOWS
The enemy works to close divine gates, doors and windows against a person and opens evil gates, doors and windows. The enemy will close doors of blessings and open doors of curses, close gates of praise and opens gates of rebellion, shut gates of patience and open gates of anxiety, pride, anger etc. Prayer:
"Every gate, door, and window opened by the evil powers , is closed in the name of Jesus. Every divine gate, door and window blocked by the enemy I command you in the Name of Jesus to lift up your heads right now for the King of Glory to come in"
3 CONCLUSION
It is important to note that deliverance is something that should be done on daily basis through prayers to paralyze the architecture of the evil kingdom and to help one keep the fire of the Holy Spirit burning. It is necessary for one to keep connected to God and ensure that he/she refrains from evil and constantly put to death evil members in him/her. Look at this: "Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation." (Matt 12:45
