We all have had our good times as well as bad times. We enjoy and are delighted when happy times come our way, but how you cope with the bad times that can destroy you or make you grow and give you strength to face what ever life throws at you. As for me when I was thirty one years old when I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I had three small children the youngest was only three years old. My first reaction was total devastated and ask my family and friends to please leave because I needed time to deal with this.
I can not put in words to describe how I felt except it hit me at the bottom of my soul so deep that I felt I couldn't breath. That night I talked to my higher power who is my Lord and my savior. I told him that I wasn't afraid to die because I knew that I was his child and I would go to heaven, but I ask him why he would allow me to have three beautiful children and take me away from them before I had time to teach them all they needed to learn about his love and protection of us as his children. I ask him to please just allow me to live long enough to teach them about him and his love he bestows on his children.

After my talk with the Lord that night I knew without any doubt that I would not die and that he would give me the strength that I would need to fight this battle. How did I know, because in my room he entered my soul and told me so, and I felt a peace in my soul that has stayed with me until this very day. I was very sick from the chemotherapy and it was a difficult time for my children and my family, but we made it through these times. My youngest child is twenty six years old and will graduate from collage this year. And I kept my promise to God, and although they have had their ups and their downs they all are saved and have been taught to love and trust God to fight their battles as they walk through life.

I am 57 years old now and you would think that this would be the end of this saga, but although I couldn't see the future God had greater plans for me. My daughter was married to a policeman who was killed and she had a 3 year old and one on the way. Andrew was born premature because of her stress, and she was not emotionally able to care for him. I took him home with me, and he is still with me. He is a joy and a delight to have, and God knew he would need me and has blessed me with the strength I have need to care for a toddler at my age.

If you are in a situation that seems hopeless, don't give up, and let it destroy you, give it to your higher power, and let him fight your battle. He has given us the promise to never put on us more than we can bare.

Your story you told encouraged me. I am struggling with a life of depression and now the drugs they prescribed are causing me problems with my feet. I am so discouraged. Please, pray for me.
