Have Complete Confidence In The Lord

God-kind of Confidence is a very important ingredient in our spiritual walk with the Almighty. Confidence in the Lord is having a firm trust and faith in Him; and standing boldly upon His Word. His Word is forever true as He says what He means and He means what He says.

The bible tells us in 1John 4:17, " In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like Him". Sometimes we picture someone with confidence to be a tall and strong person and willing to face any danger. There are times when this may be true and other times, it may not be true. But in the Word of God, confidence is founded in our faith and in our love for our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
We can have complete confidence in God because we can do all things through His power and Spirit. When you pray according to the Word of God and with His confidence, you can be fully persuaded that He has heard you. Also, if you align your prayers in His will, you can be certain that He listens and He will give you a definite answer.

It is better to put your confidence in the Lord than to put your confidence in man. God is your strength and song in the heat of battle and He will give you victory always. But if you put your confidence in man, you will be disappointed because your victory is not in the hands of any man. God's laws are guidelines to help us follow in His path and not wander onto paths that would lead to destruction.

God's Word tells us in Proverbs 14:16 , "A wise man is cautious and avoids danger; a fool plunges ahead with great confidence". (The Living Bible). This proverb shows us the difference between confidence in God and confidence in self. A person with too much self-confidence acts like a person who lives life recklessly. As children of God, our complete confidence is to be in the Lord. We must not redirect this confidence by placing it in our own ability or in someone or something else.

Child of God, once you put your total confidence in the Lord, expect to accomplish everything you lay your hands on, with God's guidance and direction. There is great danger if we misdirect our confidence away from the Lord. If we do this, it leads to failure and I pray that this will not be our portion, in Jesus precious name. Amen.

Always lean heavily on the broad shoulders of God Almighty, and you will never be put to shame. Everlasting joy and peace will be yours, and His face will shine on you, all the time. Amen

PRAYER OF SALVATION

If you have not already committed your life to Jesus and you would like to do so now, please pray this prayer:

"Lord Jesus, I am sorry for all the things I have done wrong. Thank you for dying for me on the cross, to set me free from my sins. I ask you to come into my life as my personal Lord and Saviour, and fill me with the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord Jesus. Amen."

Congratulations, if you have prayed this prayer. Please look for a Bible-believing church, to fellowship with the brethren. Please do not hesitate to contact me, if I can be of any assistance to you. Remain blessed and enjoy the presence of the Lord.
