, "For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."
Yes, our fight is spiritual and not of this world. "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Ephesians 6:12 . Jesus has already defeated satan and his cohorts and He has already given you authority over all the power that the enemy possesses, and nothing shall harm you. So, do not fear! FOCUS ON GOD'S POWER ONLY.
But you will never win if you fight in your own strength and it is not advisable to do this. Apostle Paul advises us in Ephesians 6:10-11 , "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armour of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's scheme."
But your cloak of armour will not protect you if you leave it hanging in the closet. You have got to get up and put it on and lean on God fully, for strength. Satan cannot stand the Word of God, Christ's blood and the name of Jesus. So when you use them, you bring satan down to his face each time, to the glory of God. The Word of God, which is part of the full armour of God, is the Sword of the Spirit and it is used to attack satan and his cohorts.
In order to use the armour of God to the fullest, you will need the strong belt of truth and the breastplate of God's approval. Prayer is very essential in ongoing spiritual warfare and you cannot win without it. Our God is a God of faithfulness, without injustice and He is good and upright. He loves justice and He will fight for you, if you lean on Him for strength. Depend on God completely, focus on HIS POWER, thank HIM for everything and you will never fail. AMEN
PRAYER OF SALVATION
If you have not already committed your life to Jesus and you would like to do so now, please pray this prayer:
"Lord Jesus, I am sorry for all the things I have done wrong. Thank you for dying for me on the cross, to set me free from my sins. I ask you to come into my life as my personal Lord and Saviour, and fill me with the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord Jesus. Amen."
