Envy (also called invidiousness) may be defined as an emotion that “occurs when a person lacks another (perceived) superior quality, achievement, or possession and either desires it or wishes that the other lacked it.” Envy can also derive from a sense of low self-esteem that results from an upward social comparison threatening a person’s self image: another person has something that the envier considers to be important to have. If the other person is perceived to be similar to the envier, the aroused envy will be particularly intense, because it signals to the envier that it just as well could have been he or she who had the desired object – http://en.wikipedia.org

By letting go of envy, you free yourselves to appreciate your own blessings. Always trust in GOD for he is the right way and don’t be afraid because he will be there for you and pick you up when you fall.

“For anger slays the foolish man, and jealousy kills the simple.”
Job 5:2

“Do not fret because of evildoers, be not envious toward wrongdoers.” Psalm 37:1

“A tranquil heart is life to the body, but passion is rottenness to the bones.” Proverbs 14:30

“Do not let your heart envy sinners, but live in the fear of the LORD always.” Proverbs 23:17

“Do not be envious of evil men, nor desire to be with them.” Proverbs 24:1

“I have seen that every labor and every skill which is done is the result of rivalry between a man and his neighbor. This too is vanity and striving after wind.” Ecclesiastes 4:4

“He was saying, ‘That which proceeds out of the man, that is what defiles the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, deeds of coveting and wickedness, as well as deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride and foolishness.’” Mark 7:20-22

“Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant.” 1 Corinthians 13:4

“Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” Galatians 5:19-21

“We also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.” Titus 3:3

“If you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing.” James 3:14-16

“Therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander.” 1 Peter 2:1

“Do not envy a man of violence and do not choose any of his ways.” Proverbs 3:31

“Do not fret because of evildoers or be envious of the wicked.” Proverbs 24:19

“He is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions.” 1 Timothy 6:4

God has saved us and called us to a holy life -- not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.
