There seem to be many answers to this question for many people. Some may say, trying to live a sinless life is hard, some may say trying to live as Jesus lived is hard, others may say trying to turn the other cheek is hard. Personally, the hardest thing for a Christian to do is none of the above other than living the truth the way God wants you to. Finding the true way to live as a Christian is the hardest. Most Christians are so indoctrinated with church rules and regulation, and traditions taught by men of the cloth, and they become very mechanical and inhuman; lacking in the very fabric that makes them human. Jesus talks all the time about not just following a set of rules and regulation but also to have mercy, compassion, love and understanding.
Christians who think they are super righteous always quarrels with the scriptures. They apply them dogmatically, thinking that by doing so; God will bestow blessings upon them. They look at the entire meaning of being a Christian as following strictly to biblical base teachings, and if someone disagrees they will snap at them and even ostracize them from their cell group or even circle of friends. Most of the time the Christian world will kill their own wounded soldiers, this is the most merciless religious group of people on the earth. Anyone who falls from grace is treated as the Devil, and they are no longer forgiven or even allowed to return from their sins and mistakes. The God of forgiveness no longer is so after you have become a Christian and fall into sin. Being a Christian is easy, the hardest one is after you have come to God and then you fall into vice, then there is no longer any grace to be given unto you. The result is worst than if you never became a Christian at all.

Most Christians hardly understands that it is not an easy thing to do to overcome your sin after you become a Christian. Not all believers are completely cleansed of their past habits and sins, some hidden problems still remain. But did not the bible say we will be changed from glory to glory and what God has started he will complete it in his time? Does that mean that after you became a Christian that you are holy and impervious to sinning? That is a myth, no one who becomes a Christian will be invincible against the schemes of the devil, look at Judas, he was with Jesus, yet he betrayed him. The Devil entered into Judas after he took the bread from Jesus.

But, when a man of God falls from grace, he is surely worst than he had not been a Christian at all. Those who are servants of God are open target for the devil, only these people are highly endangered species, since they have begun to take on as warriors in the kingdom of God. In the battle field, and without any kind of mutual support from matured sheep, most tend to fall. To constantly wage war in the kingdom of God, we have to be within an army of spiritual soldiers, and be constantly recharged and refresh before we fight another battle. Satan is a seducer and a subtle tempter; he begins by adjusting your mind through slow poisoning. One degree at a time, he distorts your faith until the length of time proves you wrong and when you look back you have already deviated miles from Christ. Then, he uses your pride to prevent you from seeking sincere help since everything these servants taught have now came back to haunt them. That is why we say the Word of God is a double edged sword, it cuts both ways. It cuts the one receiving and it cuts the one who sends.

The Truth of God is ever evolving, and there are certain information which is still hidden from the people of this world. The bible mentioned this as Hidden Manna from heaven, not to be disclosed until the time comes for its release as commanded by God. Once its release, most don't recognize it as truth, they are already taught not to accept things which are not written in the bible and taught by approved ministers, so they will not accept these truths. So they are called blind guides, since their teachings will blind the very people who is seeking God. Rules based teachings are acceptable for babes but for matured Christians it's not effective since, because the rules based method is very static and lacks the dynamic factor which makes the Word of God a Spiritual Sword. Rules based word will be applied from the logical mind of the user and lacks the Spirits direction and so it becomes rotten Manna which is kept overnight and not present truth that can revive the weary and wounded soldiers. Rules based words are not Sent Words.

Sent Words will never return void and will accomplish that which it was sent. God can not lie, what he says, they he do.

Then, there are those who have this truth, but are afraid to profess it since they are more concern about acceptance and conformance to Church approved doctrines. Now we will again fall into error when the Lord comes again and we miss him, thinking he will come back in a certain way which is not true. The believers of the Old Testament did not recognize their Messiah when he came the way it was mentioned in the bible. Why is this so? Because an entire generation and nation was taught the wrong thing to expect when the Holy One comes, they were expecting him from an earthly point of view and they did not seek to hear from the good Lord God who is wiser than all of us. The strangest thing is that our God is not one who is given to boasting and showing off in a big manner, he is a humble and low profile God. Why? I have no idea why, but one thing is for sure, he is seeking those who can recognize him from obscurity but by the Truth and Spirit only.

Surely without the spiritual discernment and wisdom from God, no one will be able to tell the truth from head knowledge. Most Christian don't know that you can not apply scripture from your head, it has to come from the Spirit to be the Sent Word and for it to have any spiritual power to manifest that which is sent. Only God sent word will not return void. Men sent word is as good as useless babble, comforting but useless, they fall to the ground like a rotten fruit from a tree and produces nothing only false hope.

Most people who believes in logic are always inferior to those who discern by the Spirit, as the Spirit is the Spirit of Truth and it will defy logical learning. This is why many people have this experience that sometimes God comes and sometimes God doesn't. Well the truth is God always fulfill the words of his servants but not false prophets who speaks from the delusion of their minds, with flattery and only money in their minds.

That is why the Lord always say, he will nullify the teachings of wise men and make their understanding nothing comparing to the wisdom of God. The key to understanding and discerning will never ever be given to anyone who thinks he is already very smart and knowledgeable in the Word of God. The Pharisees were master of the word of God yet they don't know their God and his ways, so they did not recognize Jesus when he came to them as prophecy by the Prophets of God. It is certainly not how and what ways God will speak but when he speaks in any way at all, can you discern the truth through the Holy Spirit who guides you?

Without the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth within you, you will never ever understand the Truth. And if you go against the Truth, you are already under the wrath of God, for Jesus' kingdom is the kingdom of Truth. Those who think they are with God by applying scripture using their mind will most certainly going against the Holy Spirit. For truth is not popular teachings, neither is it logically applied by human minds. That is why these Christians have victory and defeats at times when they think they knew but they have missed the target often so they are not very strong and well protected, since they are their own gods, defining the will of God using Static scriptures without the Spirit.
