Expecting God's Power in Your Life

When God promises us greatness and overflow in our lives, we can choose to walk in that word or believe what we can see. Most of the time, God's word and the situation we are in may contradict. The problem with most Christians is that we do not want to walk in faith but in what we see.

God does not operate like that. When he gives us a word, he intends for us to walk in faith believing that it will come to pass no matter what. Expecting God's power in your life means looking at God's promises and not at the current situation you are in. It means believing that God will make it pass no matter what. It is putting your total trust and faith in God for if he has said it, it will surely come to be.
Your attitude should also be right as you wait on God. You should quit complaining and have an attitude of thanks giving and praise no matter what. You need to make an effort of driving away any negative thoughts from your mind. Everyday as you wake up, speak the positive things you are expecting to see that day. Thank God for what he has already done for you, what he is about to do and leave everything in his able hands. There is nothing too big for our God, not even what you are going through. Do not allow your situation to steal your joy from you but keep holding on in faith. At his time, he will do it for you.

God has saved us and called us to a holy life -- not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.
