You see, child of God, He does not accept excuses; He is the Almighty. If He has called you to do something, He knows you can do it because He has already packaged you with the ability and strength to do it. So, excuses are not part of God's agenda!
When God called prophet Moses to deliver the Israelites from Pharaoh in Egypt, he gave an excuse saying, "O Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue". Exodus 4:10
But God was not having any of the excuses Moses was giving; he even asked God to send someone else. But The Lord told him to go and He will help him speak and carry out the work. God has a plan and purpose for your life and this plan was decided even before you were born. When God called Jeremiah, he was probably in his late teens. Jeremiah's response was focussed on his weaknesses and lack of qualification.
Jeremiah believed that he did not have the proper skills or experienced in speaking as a prophet. God uses unlikely or sub-standard people to carry out great work for Him. But when He is ignored, you will pay a great price. Prophet Jonah did not heed the instructions of God, when He told him to go to Nineveh and preach against the wickedness of the people.
Instead, Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed to Tarshish, and he found himself inside the belly of a great fish, because of his disobedience. It is much easier to obey God in the first place than to disobey and pay a great penalty. It is a great honour that God has chosen you for His work and you should rejoice and answer this call with gladness.
The Word of God says in Ephesians 1:11
He chose you before creation; hence you are not an afterthought and you are not a mistake. You are a forethought and He loves you very much. God chooses imperfect people and all He is looking for is their availability to carry out the work. Child of God, I encourage you to answer the call of God and make yourself available for His great work. You will not regret it. PEACE.
PRAYER OF SALVATION
If you have not already committed your life to Jesus and you would like to do so now, please pray this prayer:
"Lord Jesus, I am sorry for all the things I have done wrong. Thank you for dying for me on the cross, to set me free from my sins. I ask you to come into my life as my personal Lord and Saviour, and fill me with the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord Jesus. Amen."
Congratulations, if you have prayed this prayer. Please look for a Bible-believing church, to fellowship with the brethren. Please do not hesitate to contact me, if I can be of any assistance to you. Remain blessed and enjoy the presence of the Lord.Article Source:
