says “My people are being destroyed because they don't know me. Since you priests refuse to know me,I refuse to recognize you as my priests. Since you have forgotten the laws of your God, I will forget to bless your children” Another version says “My people are destroyed for a lack of Knowledge” I didn’t write the bible you know, but the scripture cannot be broken. Knowledge is key to growth, dominion and the unleashing of our faith on the master and his words to us.
Now I desperately want us to consider something very vital. As a matter of fact it is a question. Who is a Christian? Good question. The disciples were first called a Christian at Antioch according to the book of acts. Why were they called as such? Well, literally because they behaved like Christ, at least that’s clear enough. However, other scripture makes us understand that being a Christian transcends mere “Outward display” That would inevitably make it a religion. But it is not. I like the way a great Man of God ,Pastor Chris Oyakhlilome defines Christianity. Christianity is the living, pulsating life of God at work in a human life.
The implication of that is a Christian is not just a guy that attends church services regularly, no ; he is any one whose human life or spirit has been supplanted or replaced by the divine life. What do I mean by the divine life? The God Kind of life. Psalm 82
vs 1 “God presides over heaven's court;he pronounces judgment on the heavenly beings:2"How long will you hand down unjust decisions by favoring the wicked?;Let me read the Kjv version to you; “God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; He judgeth amongst the gods” Did you catch anything yet? The first version says Heavenly beings….Celestial beings; Extraordinary beings; creatures that are not limited by any form of earthly dictates and limitations. The other version gives a better outstanding of the word. It says “gods” Let me bring it home. Now what kind of a school do you think Prince Charles went to? What kind of friends does he keep? What kind of places does he go? The guy is royalty for pete’s sake you won’t find anything one inch less than the best the world has to offer. Now that’s an earthly monarch. Imagine the Almighty God, the King of Kings having a meeting. Who do you think would be in attendance? Ah Ah! Well that’s not all, I want you to check out the 6th and 7th verse I say, `You are gods; you are all children of the Most High.
But you will die like mere mortals and fall like every other ruler.'" I have said to you ye are “gods” You are powerful; you are mighty and supreme. Jesus Himself said to us in John 15:5
“I am the vine, we are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing” Does not the same nutrients flow from the vine to the branches. They share the same life. They have same fate. A Child of God is fused with the spirit of the living God. That spirit is powerful. Powerful enough to create any desired atmosphere especially at the name of Jesus. It is wrong for you to die as a result of any form of sickness. You want to know why? because the bible says “that they that dwell in zion shall not say I am sick”. Every born again child of God hails from zion. You do not fall sick! I don’t care if it’s hereditary or commucable, you should not be sick. I am not saying you won’t feel sick. No, you would but you have a choice to either give in to your lying vanity ( your feelings) or accept the absolute reality ( the unfailing word of God). What kind of life do you want live people? What kind of life do you want your kids to live? Everything depends on no other person but…You. Do you remember the man of the beautiful gate? Okay I’m sure you do. His story is a remarkable one. All he wanted was a token but he ended up getting something far more than what even money could give him. The Name of Jesus. I am not like the regular kind of writers you know.
I think that’s so obvious. And like so many spirit filled Christian writers out there I am sent to you with a word for such a time like this. The name of Jesus is not meant to be framed. No! the name of Jesus is to be used to heal the sick, open blind eyes, and changing people’s lives over the world for God especially now. What are you going to do with the name of Jesus?
