Grumbling is the act of complaining and muttering in discontent about someone or something. It is also aimed at finding fault or dissatisfaction about a situation. A complaining Christian is a contradiction to what God expects from them.
The biblical principle is set out in
Philippians 2:14-15
, "Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe." This is a very important and powerful scripture from the Word of God and we should all take it seriously.
Our God does not condone grumbling as it stinks in His nostrils. Complaining or muttering about anything demonstrates a lack of faith in God. When we are faced with problems, we usually resort to grumbling, rather than trusting the Lord to handle them. We often focus on the problems instead of focusing on God and looking for the opportunities before us.
